Hubbell files for re-election
Martina M. Hubbell, District Magistrate Judge announces she has filed for re-election on the Republican ticket in the coming election.
Judge Hubbell was appointed by the Governor of the State of Kansas in 1992 and received her 15 year plaque in 2007. She has been active in the District Magistrate Judges Association over the years. She has served as President of the association and secretary for 3 years. Judge Hubbell has also served as chairman of the Legislative Committee for 2 years and she has been an active member of the Legislative Committee for 13 years.
In 2002 Judge Hubbell was presented the Outstanding District Magistrate Judge award of the State of Kansas, in honor and recognition of her supporting and enhancing the role of the Kansas Judiciary and for displaying the integrity of the position of Kansas District Magistrate Judges.
In 2005 Judge Hubbell was presented the KWOA Natural Resource Protection Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution of the protection of Kansas natural resources.
She was also presented an award from the Kansas Wildlife Officers Association of retired officers of the State of Kansas.
A lifetime resident of Elk County, Judge Hubbell is married to Jerry Hubbell and has two grown daughters and several grandchildren.
“I have been honored to represent Elk County and District 13 for the last 15 years. I ask for your trust and support in the coming election,” she said.
