Howard UMC to hold two dinners this month
If you’re hungry the next week or so, check out the Howard United Methodist Church. They are serving two dinners open to the public.
The first is a Salad Supper this Saturday in honor of Mother’s Day. It’s the traditional Mother-Daughter Banquet the Howard and Severy UMC’s host.
The Salad Supper will be at the Howard UMC Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m. on May 10. Women of all ages are invited to attend. If you’re a mother, you have a mother, or if your children and/or mom are not available, borrow a mom and enjoy! Bring a salad and $1. Table service is provided.
The program will be presented by Pastor Charles Cryderman on Israel.
The Howard UMC will also host a Chicken and Noodles Dinner on Friday, May 16, at 5:30 p.m.
The Chicken and Noodles Dinner started at a recent United Methodist Women meeting, when members were discussing who knew how to make noodles and who did not, so a noodle-making classes was held. It was such a success a second noodle-making class was held.
Now what to do with all the noodles? Have a dinner, of course. Cost? A donation, with funds raised going towards a new multi-media system for the Morning Worship in the sanctuary.
Noodles were made by community members and church members, as well as the UMW ladies.
