Recycling and trash pick-up efforts underway
The Howard Chamber of Commerce, Inc is sponsoring its annual Chamber Litter Cleanup on April 26. Chamber members and any interested people will be asked to meet at the West Park at 7 a.m. that Saturday morning (West Park is on Randolph Street about five blocks west of the courthouse)
The recycle trailer goes around Elk county each month. The schedule is as follows:
First Saturday of each month - Longton at 8 a.m., Elk Falls at 10:30 a.m.
Second Friday and Saturday of each month - Howard from 9-11 a.m.
Third Saturday of each month - Grenola at 8 a.m., Moline at 10:30 a.m.
The public is encouraged to bring their recyclable goods.
