Microloans available to small businesses

Ms. Donna Kaminska, Clerk of the Elk County Board of Commissioners has announced that Elk County has microloan funds available to small businesses.

This loan program is for those small businesses with five or fewer employees needing loans of $25,000 or less in all areas of Elk County. Interest Rates are fixed at 7.0%. There are no fees other than closing costs. The loan funds can be used for working capital, equipment, inventory, leasehold improvements, and building purchases.

This program was originally funded by a Kansas Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant in 2004.
