Crazy Days ahead in Moline

Everything is ready for Moline Crazy Days on Friday and Saturday, June 27-28.

The annual event will feature a free bean feed in the park on Friday evening at 6 p.m. with an auction immediately afterward.

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the evening with their friends and neighbors.

The Greenfield 4-H Club will be serving biscuits and gravy on Saturday, June 28, from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Moline Community Building. They will also be serving concessions at the car show later in the park.

On Saturday morning the traditional parade will be held in downtown Moline starting at 10:30 a.m., then kids’ games will start at 10:30 in the park. Included will be turtle races at 12 noon, stick horse races (bring your own stick), 3-wheeler races (bring your own 3-wheeler), water balloon toss, egg toss and water scoop relay.

Hamburgers and pie will be served by the Elk County Cattlewomen.

An inflatable water slide, sponsored by the Howard City Pool and the Moline Chamber of Commerce, will be set for all the kids to enjoy.

A lip-sync contest is being held and anyone interested in entering should contact Wanda Mills at 647-3462.

The classic car show will be held from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and those interested in entering should contact Justin Hogan at 620 229-8238 or Vanessa Hogal at 620 647-3548.

A hog roast will be held at 6:30 p.m. and tickets will be $7 for adults and $4 for kids 10 and under.

Music will be provided by Lightning J. Production Entertainment.
