It was 11 months ago that a nighttime fired destroyed the landmark Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, and next Sunday, June 8, will be a day of celebration for funeral director Lloyd Zimmerman as a brand new funeral home is dedicated.

“We are proud to return to our friends and neighbors in the Elk County area,” said Zimmerman.

Zimmerman was seriously injured when he jumped from a second-story window to a paved parking lot below and it has taken some time for him to recuperate. But he’s feeling fine now and will be on hand for Sunday’s open house which is scheduled for 1-4 p.m..

He invites everyone to come and tour the building and visit with others who will be attending. You also may drop by anytime for a tour.
