A Labette County native will return to become superintendent of USD 506 - Altamont following his hiring at Monday night ’s board of education meeting.

Charles “Chuck” Stockton has served as an administrator in Springfield, Mo., Clay County and Cherryvale and he will replace Dr. Dennis Wilson who recently resigned as USD 506 superintendent.

Stockton’s wife Vickie is a graduate of LCHS and has also been an educator for 15 years as an elementary teacher. They have a son Chase, who is in the fourth grade.
