Sedan Public Library to host open house/book sale

By Kathleen McCorkle

Come to the Sedan Public Library Open House and Book Sale on April 18, from noon-5 p.m. for free gifts and sign up to win some door prizes also. There will be something for everyone, and the Library Board is making cookies and drinks. All children preschool to early elementary may pick out a free book when they come in on that day. Mom, Dad or big sister or brother may not get one for them; the child will have to be here to pick it out for themselves.

We also will have a book sale that day and we will try our best to have the books out by 9 a.m. Hard backs, paper backs and in between we will have a little of everything. Talking about books we just got a new shipment today to unpack and get ready for checkout!

If you were one of the nice people who came into the library Friday morning while a table full of really nice ladies who are helping with the kids summer program were getting things ready for this summer and brainstorming on how to make the crafts easy and fun for the kids, please forgive us. I know we were noisy but we sure were having fun and hopefully the kids will have a great time this summer because of our efforts.

We have many great books, so come by 115 N. Chautauqua here in Sedan.

We are open Monday through Thursday 12:30 to 5:30 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. Have a question? Call us at 725-3405.
