Greger to be sentenced in May
Stephen Greger, a 57-year-old Chautuauqa County man, could face more than 27 years in prison following a no contest plea on kidnapping charges last Friday.
Greger pled no contest and was declared not guilty of aggravated kidnapping relating to a case involving the abduction of a 14-year-old Chautauqua County girl in July 2007.
Greger was originally charged with one count aggravated kidnapping, two counts rape, and two counts aggravated criminal sodomy. Greger’s plea agreement came just three days before his jury trial was set to begin in Chautauqua County District Court.
Greger will be sentenced in Chautauqua County on May 7 at 9 a.m., in Sedan. The maximum sentence he can receive is 330 months, which translates to 27 1/2 years.
Another Chautauqua County, Aaron Terning, awaits a jury trial in May on similar charges relating to the abduction and rape of the 14-year-old girl.
The Kansas Attorney General’s is handling the prosecution of the case against Greger and Terning.

He will probably die in prison, not of natural causes either.
I hope that saying “What comes around, goes around” really is true. I think he deserves to get his too! He needs to feel the fear and pain that he put that innocent child through!! I also think he should be listed as a sex offender and a child molester.
Why should he be listed as a sex offender and a child molester if he was not found guilty or convicted of those crimes? If he was originally charged with rape and sodomy and the district attorneys office had the DNA evidence to back it up, do you honestly think they would offer him a plea deal and let him walk on those charges? Not likely. There is always more to the story than they tell the public
